I had a unique experience working on the film Ant-Man. I was responsible for digital double work and was given the opportunity to wear portions of the actual practical costume while I sculpted. For instance I wore the glove on my left had as I sculpted the digital version. This allowed me to closely study the material and how it moved both as I sculpted the base objects as well as corrective blendshapes. For the first teaser we were too early to have proper cloth sim ready so I hand sculpted moving wrinkles for the entire suit as well as did touch ups for the character for all it's appearances. Those wrinkle sculpts then were used to drive the simulations later in production. In addition to Ant-Man I also did work on other aspects of the film such as down resing versions of the ants so we could crowd populate thousands on screen at once. A great project.
